Farmingdale, New York - America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals has recognized William McLeod of Victoria, Texas for his accomplishments in the field of Hospitality. He has been selected as Professional of the Year 2013.
About William McLeod
William McLeod is a retired LTC from the US Army. He was an Honor Graduate from the Baylor University Administration Program where he received his M.H.A. He earned his B.S. at South Dakota State University and attended the Command and General Staff College with the US Army. His extensive career includes redesigning the ambulatory surgery system at Beaumont Army Hospital which saved 2 days per patient. He installed a paid time off system in Chicago combining sick leave, vacation time and holidays which significantly reduced the amount of lost days work. In 1994, Mr. McLeod purchased an old house which he converted into a bed-and-breakfast which he named Friendly Oaks Bed & Breakfast. His success in this endeavor is measured by the fact that he established marketing programs and community relations, consequently increasing the number of guest nights by 10% each year for 15 years. Among Mr. McLeod's honors and awards are the Blue Key Honor Society, Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star and has been the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal 3 times. Mr. McLeod is affiliated with ACHCE, is a Paul Harris Fellow, Rotary Club; is the Business Manager for the Clan McLeod Society; is the President of the Victoria Rotary Foundation and is the former president of the Rotary Club of Victoria (2001). He enjoys soccer during his time off.
